Tewkesbury is famous for it's 100's of Medieval Flags, which adorn the buildings in the Town during the summer months. Visitors are most welcome to come and enjoy these Medieval Banners which have a long heritage for which Tewkesbury is renowned.
Tewkesbury Battle Field Society organises the production and display of the Medieval Flags (see button below). Each flag (banner) relates to the Coat of Arms of a partcipant in the Battle of Tewkesbury 1471, the last major battle in the Wars of the Roses.
