This is the 25th increasingly popular Tewkesbury Winter Ales Festival and will have 80 Winter Ales plus local cider and perry. Previous Ales Festival photos and other useful info is further down this page, including the new Summer Beer Festival.
Winter Brewed Ales are different, offering different qualities and flavours to regular brewed ales.
Charity fund raising is part of the event, for example, for the Air Ambulance.
The Town offers a unique bonus of heritage hostelries (14th century term for pubs) going back before the 13th Century, for example the Black Bear open and serving beer (porter) for over 700 years, shown left (currently being refurbed, may be open by end of 2020).
Another, 'The Cross House Tavern' (junction Church Street and High Street) now a restored Victorian Tavern is open from 12 noon, click following image for latest info.
Yet another is the 'Berkeley Arms', a Grade II listed building. There have been many improvements to the premises over at least 800 years, the surviving oldest substantial part being an 11th century barn and cellar hand cut stonework, open from 12 noon Mon to Sat, 3pm Sundays.
